This unforgettable, interactive project can also lead to projects on how they might rebuild their own villages, towns and cities were they to be raised to the ground.! Then finally they teach Mr Pepys about modern fire safety and building practices.

They choose, from the actual plans submitted, how they'd rebuild London, then discover what actually happened. They discuss what they would save (and how much they'd pay!) and then, in the aftermath, the possible causes of the Great Fire itself. Using verbatim reports they experience the sights, sounds and smells of the Great Conflagration, before leaping to Mr Pepys' aid using Water Pumps, Great Hooks and whatever else they can find to help extinguish the blaze.! Actor David Hall brings Samuel Pepys vividly to life, whisking your pupils into the very heart of the Great Fire of London.
